The ptich for this book exagerates a mysterious amino acid deficiency that if taken in the right quantity will cure Crohns. The pitch confuses amino acids and healthy bacteria and the mistaken belief that more of this will cure Crohns. In order to find out what this amino acid you need to spend $29.95. Note that this book is self published and does not include a table of contents nor number of pages.
Amino acids need to be taken as a group to be effective. I have been taking them for years and you can buy them as a group in health food stores. In my case I use them for muscle recovery in weight training. They are very helpful for overall health. By all means try them, they all work together.
A Crohns related deficiency does not correlate to taking more to cure Crohns (say B12 and folic acid) will not cure Crohns, instead it helps your overall health. Other supplements may reduce inflammation: for example: Fish Oil, Curcumin, Boswelia and Peppermint Oil. They may help but do not cure.
Specifically for Crohns, there has been research studies on the amino acid Glutamine with mixed results.
