Anyone have Pentasa related Tinnitus

My GI doctor says adamantly that Pentasa doesn't cause ear ringing.

My Pharmacist says it does.

I'm going with the Pharmacist's opinion. And my own experience.

Has anyone determined the daily *dose* at which it starts for them?

Yeah, it does cause tinnitus, especially if you are on other meds that thin the blood. Are you on Pentasa for crohn's? It didn't help me and many others agree not very effective for CD.

If you do a history search under Kazbern and tinnitus, you will see that she also suffered with it from Pentasa. I don't know the dose

Hi Emma....I don't have ringing, but I have what I call permanently swishy ears. I feel like I have swimmers ear all of the time. I have gone on Pentasa "vacations" but never noticed if it stopped or not. I do know that I am really only taking half the prescribed dose (yeah never get those last three pills in) and the swimmers ear still is there. It may be from some other issues I have, but I will pay more attention to it if I miss some days in a row again.

Why take Pentasa at all? Especially if it is giving you side effects.
