Hi Kiki87,
I know what the grey zone feels like - I've had UC for the last three years and last month had the dx changed to Crohn's..
As for the tummy trouble - Yes, I've experienced that. I find that when I have urgency but no BMs, it's usually a sign that constipation is on the way (usually caused as a result of rectal inflammation) - I have some salofalk supps that I use if that's the case, it takes 1-3 days to calm down, then back to normal. If I'm having a 'D' phase (and not flaring - so no other signs such as blood/mucus) I will stick to a basic diet for a couple of days (It's my 'C-Diet'; Crisps, crackers, carbs...!), and that helps, whether it is easier to digest I don't know, but it calms things down. Also, avoid sugar as much as you can!
Today I am battling with a noisy, gurgling tummy, because I ate cauliflower last night - my previous ability for being able to eat all veggies is dwindling - I've now knocked all brassica's off the list (and I'm vegetarian so I don't want to lose too much!).
If you start feeling unwell, fever, constant aches, restlessness etc, or get anymore symptoms, it's probably best to get back to your GI.
