Entocort not working?

Hey, since starting entocort on Monday I have not seen any improvement which is normal
But I feel like I am getting worse
More painful BMs
And this morning it looked like the entocort capsules might have been in my stool, could be it was just the outside of the med

Has this happened to anyone?

I know I have passed some tablets before but never capsules as far as I know

Many people have not had any luck with budesonide.
I had developing pain in my right lower quadrant when I was on Entocort. What other meds are you on except the ones in your signature?

I started two weeks ago and it is making me feel worse, I think I am just going to stop, I remember when it first came out and I tried it, remember it not working then either.

I didn't feel worse when I started Entocort but it took about a week for me to notice it was working and 2 weeks for symptoms to disappear completely. It is my understanding that everyone has a different experience with Entocort and Pred - I'd talk to your doctor.

I felt terrific the first five days but then symptoms returned and I was on it for 6 months at 9 mg and 3 months at 3 mg. I have given my doctors feedback that they didn't monitor inflammation levels or they would have realized the budesonide wasn't working. Your doctor can order a calpractin test from a stool sample and it measures how much inflammation is in the bowel--more specific to IBD than a C-Reactive Protein test.

And the problem my doctors did not address was that my disease was progressing, with increased scarring in the Ilium and Cecum, leading to sepsis and septic shock--exacerbated by taking an immune suppressant drug.

So, the problem isn't just the diarrhea. The consequences of sepsis are life threatening and doctors are not warning Crohn's patients of this possibility.
