What types of pains are you having? If they are contraction-like pains I would suggest sticking to low residue foods. Sometimes when this gets really bad for me I will do liquids only (smoothies, soups, Orgain, etc.) for a few days. Talk to your GI about pain relief options. Most GIs do not like to prescribe heavy pain meds, but mine is always willing to give me a low dose of tramadol when I need it and I will usually ask for a script before a vacation or big event just in case. Also, like scifigal asked, what meds are you on? You want meds that will maintain remission for as long as possible, and you note taking tablets which makes me think you are taking something like a mesalamine or 6MP? Biologics seem to be the best bet with CD and a lot more doctors are starting out with them right away as opposed to starting with weaker drugs and moving up the latter as needed. This seems to be better at preventing an accumulation of scar tissue and damage that inevitably causes mechanic issues in the future.
