question about Humira/Promethus test

It measures both whether you have antibodies and the level of the drug in your system. While it is good if it comes back that there are no antibodies and the correct level of it is in your system, it really only says that the medication is still a viable treatment option and whether you need to adjust the dosage based on how much is left in your body before injection. It is still possible that you are flaring. The disease is very complicated and no one test can really prove if you are flaring or not, rather its the sum of all tests, procedures and symptoms (or lack of) that will lead to a conclusion as to whether it is working. How have you been feeling on it?

By the way the Prometheus people are very aggressive about their billing The test was billed at 2500 and they called me right away to see if I will pay 10%, $250.

They also sent me a letter if I authorize them to be my patient advocate if there is a billing problem. I did not respond to it, sounded very fishy.

I said:You have a contracted amount with the insurance company, after they pay they will indicate how much I have to pay. They paid $841 which was the contracted amount, I had no copay. That was the end of Prometheus in my case.
