MRSA exposure, remicade, 6mp

Anyone dealt with Mrsa and immunosuppressants? My mother has been in an inpatient pulmonary rehab program after recovering from heart surgery back in March. It's been a long road for the past 7months but she was just about to come home this week but had a small issue that we decided it was best to have it looked at in the ER since she's been through so much. They decided to keep her for observation for a few days but did a routine test for MRSA since she had been in the rehab facility as a precaution. It came back this morning that she is a carrier and she's basically being treated like she has the plague:(. I visit her absolutely every day, we are in close contact, I do all her laundry, etc. I am freaked out for both her because she has so many health problems and there are no antibiotics to treat it according to the doctor she spoke to, and myself because I don't know how my body would deal with it given the meds I'm on. Maybe I'm over reacting, I don't know. Any insight would be super appreciated!

I'm going to mention it to my GI this week at my next appointment. What's concerning to me is we have no idea how long my mother has had it so I may have been exposed for some time at this point and considering I have been spending a lot of time with her in the hospital and at rehab I wouldn't be surprised if I may be carrying it too at this point since we were not really watching out for handling things of each other's and coming in contact with each other. My mother needs me around for her sanity at this point so I guess we will see what happens
