I feel like a truck ran over me today. Because I was so preoccupied with my husband's recent health issues that I ran out of one of my own medications. With no refills. On a Saturday night.

Of all things, it would have to be something that has nasty side effects when it's stopped cold turkey. One that I've been on for 16 years. I have another day to go before I can possibly get any more.

The good news is that one of my husband's health issues was "rescinded" - the nurse who gave us the initial diagnosis got it wrong. We just didn't find it out until a month later when he went back to the doctor Friday.

Oh man. I did the same thing this weekend. I called in the refill for my arthritis meds on Friday and it won't come in until Monday. At least mine won't cause withdrawal. Hope you do OK until the meds get in.

I think I just need to sign up for auto refill and not have to think about it.

Oh, dear. Hope things go on well and your body does not react negatively because of the lack of the medicine.
Glad that your husband's initial diagnosis turned out to be incorrect.

Thanks Sparkle and Minnie. I gave up and called my pharmacist who mercifully gave me a small emergency supply. I don't know if it's the withdrawal messing with my mind (it's an antidepressant I take for pain & muscle spasms), but I felt extremely embarrassed about it, though I know it can happen to anybody. It's just a very vulnerable feeling.
