So i started stelara Dec 12 and felt great for 19 days then boom. Fatigue and nausea. Now my heart is racing and feeling anxious. I read heart racing could be serious so im freaking out. Ive never had a bad reaction so dont know if its racing from meds or anxiety. Anyone who has had reaction to any bios how long after infusion did you have reaction? Im an anxious person but starting to get panicky.

Barbz,

Call your doctor. Remicade states that if you have side affects they should be notified at once...my doctor is especially concerned with jaw pain (dont know why and forgot to ask), anxiety attacks or a racing heart.

Please keep us informed.

I was at my pain doctor yesterday who is also primary care and he asked me about the heart beat and how it felt. I think its anxiety because if i get up and get busy i feel better. I will be in touch with gi today.

I would contact your doctor to be safe. there are a lot of things it could be, anxiety is at the top of the list but i think you should ask them before you totally dismiss it. do you have any shortness of breath or pain?

@clo- The jaw pain is a sign of your body building up antibodies to the medication. there is a whole long explanation for that but i forgot parts of it and don't want too give out the wrong info.

Well i do have a little shortness of breath but i slso have that with anxiety also.

I'm going to be starting it and I seriously have anxiety too. I work myself up all the time . Keep posting please. I read them. Thanks

I'm on 80mg weekly of Humira---extremely weak and also having trouble getting air in.

Ub tough that is how I was on humira I stopped it! It was sucking the life out of me! I didn't shower for a week I was that weak. I called FDA and reported it. It's up to you , but the side effects were not worth it to me

I loved humira was in remission 6 years and it stopped working

@ miracles---I can relate although it seems to be getting better. I'm also on a ton of other drugs so it could be the combo. But I get it. Most days I think "this is not living." I can't change to stelara as I have fistulas. No reports on if stelara is on healing them. My bowel seems to be doing better. I hope fistula closure is near. I'm struggling and not coping.

UB Tough, I have fistulas and that's why the doctor is prescribing Stelara, although I did read a report where one person's fistula's got worse. I wish there was more info on Medical Marijuana as it is now legal where I live for Crohn's.
