For your colonoscopy.
I mean I am reading other peoples posts that say some took preparation for three days before their colonoscopy. Some did the test after preparing for two days.
By preparation I mean what did you eat those 1/2/3 days before colonoscopy? If only liquid food what were those liquid foods?Mention a few that I can take for break fast, lunch and dinner. Please mention the specific number of days you ate these liquid foods before the colonoscopy(I mean the number of day/days before the colonoscopy day), whether it was for just one or two days or more days.
Even if you ate normal foods(not liquid foods) day/days before the colonoscopy please do mention a couple of them.
Another thing I read if doctor takes polyps I have to take special diet temporarily.I know the doctor will tell me what to take but still I would like to know what type of food you ate after your test if you had polyps taken during your test.I may forget to ask the doctor about
this diet.
Also not everyday but some days I have bad constipation. So should I take liquid food for one day before the test or for two days before the test to make sure I don't have residual stool in my colon so that I am not asked to take this test again soon to take a better view of my colon.
The instructions I have been given says
I just take normal food(no meat/fish etc) the night before colonoscopy like around 8pm and take a couple of laxative tablets( BISACODYL or Sennosides) after dinner. Then in morning I take very light breakfast and a few hours later I take a powder medicine( POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (MACROGOL)) and mix with one liter water plus another liter of same mix and drink that liquid mix of two liter in about
2 hours. After that I will have watery bowel movements.Around sometime in the evening the doctor will do the actual test with pain medicine etc.
