If it goes to the chest, it's more likely to be a secondary bacterial infection. I dunno, I had it happen to me once, but that was many years ago, before I got Crohn's even. Was living in Hull at the time, a dreary, dank, damp city even by England's dreary, dank, damp standards. I got a cold which turned into a hacking, chesty cough. After a week it hadn't got any better, so I saw a GP who prescribed me antibiotics and that cleared it up overnight.
