Hey all - I have some ongoing inflammation near my ileum and am due for an MRI in the near future. But more recently, I've come down with something nasty. It started with these spells of nausea sometimes with noise from my stomach/gut. I wouldn't describe it as painful, and I didn't have any vomiting or diarrhea. I suspected it was from a course of antibiotics I'm on. But last night I came down with a fever and had to make another ER visit. Labs and urine came back fine, and while I was there, my gut felt normal. A viral infection was their best bet.
Problem is, though the fever has passed... my stomach is really uncomfortable & struggling to handle food. Everything tastes off. I had been worrying in terms of my chronic illness, but the symptoms/
location don't really match up. They have me taking another antibiotic now in addition, and while I know they don't make you feel great, can they mess you up this much? Even pressing on my stomach is uncomfortable (under middle/right side of ribcage). I don't feel like my symptoms ever get serious enough for yet another ER visit, but sometimes I just get hit with a wave of sickness.
Thanks
