Humira to Entyvio with a side of TB?

Looking for someone else that may have gone though this…

I was on Remicade from 2001 - 2010
-Came down with Guillian-Barré Syndrome in 2010
GI switched me to Humira as a precaution
Recently the Humira has stopped working and I'm in a flare.
GI is putting me on Entyvio, but first, the TB test.

And that came back positive. Clear lungs as of 2 months ago, but the Quantiferion Gold test shows it.
So, tomorrow I'm off to the Infectious Disease doc.

Anyone else have TB after Humira?
Anyone else make the switch from Humira to Entyvio?

I did switch to Entyvio when Humira stopped working and as of my last scope I'm considered in endoscopic remission. It takes about 4 months for the Entyvio to fully kick in, but once it did I noticed a difference.

Hang in there and I hope the TB test was wrong. Is that possible?

Humira seemed to stop with a bang. So looking forward to the Entyvio working. 4 months of this will be a real drag. Just have to make sure the GI doesn't want to put me on prednisone for the time being.

As for the TB test, yes, false positive was mentioned, that's what the infectious disease doc is supposed to determine. Unfortunately I've spun the wheel of odd disease enough and lost that having TB wouldn't be surprising at all. I work at a university, have a 12 year old son in school, and have done volunteer work with the homeless, so getting exposed to TB while on the Humira is a real possibility.

A user, Faithmac, on the UC forum just recently got through this process. Pretty much the same story, been on humira and needed to switch to entyvio. Multiple positive tb tests, no signs of active tb, went to infectious disease doctor, and cleared to take entyvio recently.

Thanks, I'll take a look at those.

Went to the Infectious Disease doctor this morning and she's going to proceed with the treatment. Had two options, one was a 4 month round of antibiotics that would have reacted with my Humira and hopefully future Entyvio, and the other was 9 months of antibiotics that should behave well with what I have. Waiting for lung x-ray to come back, plus a bunch of other blood tests.
