This will be my third visit to UK, however, I never visited it in winter. I come from a hot country so what would be your pieces of advice regarding weather and food? Whenever I travel I eat canned tuna and cheese but this won't be suitable food for cold weather. What hot drinks do you drink? I can't tolerate chocolate because of GERD.

Well, we're going through a cold snap right now, so I'd bring some warm clothes.
What about
baked potatoes with tuna and/or cheese? (You can leave the skins obviously.) As for hot drinks, there's tea, tea and yet more tea. Or, for a change, Horlicks or Ovaltine. I prefer Horlicks personally, and there is a 'light' version you can get. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that you use hot water for the 'light' version and milk for the normal version. There's loads of packet soups that you can make in a mug as well.

Thank you so much, NCOT. Hope you're feeling better now.
I'll be staying at a hotel so I'll end up having tuna and cheese.
Are the barley and whey in both Horlicks and Ovaltine fine to Crohn's? I've always had issues with them .

Yowza. I'm going to suggest a whole different path of eating.
Why? Because tuna is loaded with mercury. As tasty as it is, it is a toxic, toxic food that is not helping your body one little bit. Raw milk cheese is a healthful choice. Other cheeses go through the pasteurization process, which changes the chemical structure -- making it difficult even painful to digest. Sugar (in Ovaltine and in white potatoes) feeds disease.
My husband is the one who had Crohn's. He travels with Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips (ingredients need to include a trace of lime) and raw milk cheese. A bit bulky, but healthful choices that are allowed on the airplane. Baked sweet potato and sardines are healthful choices too.
Wishing you happy, safe, pain-free travels!
