Hi,

Posting again as I'm hoping someone has gastro recommendations in the NYC, NJ, Philly areas. I'd rather not use the CCFA site and hear from others experiences. Thank you!

There is an online forum for Boston medical group, you should try it out. You send them your records and they digitally get back to you. Check out CHOPP in Philly. It takes time to get admitted as you have to be in pretty bad condition, but it takes time. smile

Most of us in the area go to NYC with GI associated with the major teaching hospitals. I go to the NYP Cornell Jill Roberts IBD Center. My GI just moved back to Mount Sinai, I'm waiting for an appointment with him.

I'm close to NYC, so I will head over from NJ and go to NYU. I see Dr Hudesman there. He took an hour long history and is straight with me. He also will communicate with me quickly over email and phone me same day if I have any concerns. I will say sometimes getting appointments with him can be a few weeks out, and not something immediate, but I find that with a lot of specialists.

Before he was at NYU, he was at Mt Sinai. So, the above recommendation for Mt Sinai also is good. I think any of these research hospitals have good doctors and they consult with one another on difficult cases.
