Referred and a few more questions thanks :)

Hi posted the other day when calprotectin wasn’t back - well it came back because I got a call on Monday evening to collect my appointment paperwork to book gastro referral and see someone end of April he was referring me anyway but they never ring they just post out an appointment months away if not important - I phoned again and asked for result they wouldn’t give me just the gp note of satisfactory which I’ve looked up as terminology as not normal but ok for circumstances so could mean absolutely anything.

I had pcos and endometriosis my bowel was involved in 2001 but in 2008 i was diagnosed with ibs which I’ve been quietly living with I’m now so skinny and can barely eat it hurts either re appears middle of the night or morning or whizzes thru like a steam train no inbetween I cycle between constipated rabbit pebbles and violent water I’m freezing cold and shivery get night sweats and had low cortisol last yr — have had low folate and anemia last few yrs and after most recent round of weight loss tummy issues sent my first ever stool samples off no infection that came back clear the calprotectin took 4 weeks to come back it literally came back the same day they rang with this paper work I’m in England they don’t do that generally as 10 Years of them telling me I’m just anxious

Oh yeah sorry questions - memory loss random moments last 4 yrs completely forget what I’m doing where I’m going etc they found a pineal cyst in my brain said it’s noyhing could it be this that’s causing it not the brain cyst like they (Neuro) are saying? Thanks b12 is 230 atm

They wouldn't give you the faecal calprotectin result? That's BS, if you ask for a result they have to give you it: they can't legally withhold your own medical information from you. Call back and ask for the result again. It may be "satisfactory", but that could range from anything from 0 to 100 ug/g, depending on how they interpret it. (Note: the lower, the better.)

End of April isn't too bad for a new GI referral.

I know absolutely nothing about pineal cysts, I am sorry...

I remember your previous post that they had called & you are to be seen by a gi. I am with NCOT, that is not a long wait to get to see one. I do hope the gi will do a scope with biopsy's so they can make a diagnosis. Not sure how far you are from this drs office, if not far, I would call & tell them I am on my way to your office to pick up a copy of my lab results. From this point on you would be wise to start getting copies of your records to have for your own personal medical file.

I’ve just been to the dentist - Can this be related I’ve got an abscess I’ve basically done in 3 teeth in a row I was dentally fit 12 months ago she asked me if my diet had changed drastically in the last year since she has seen me I explained I’m living on sugary milky tea as can’t really eat - I had no idea things had got this bad tbh
She expects to find the same round my whole mouth when she X-rays at next appointment
