So... Had Crohn's for a while now. Currently on Remicade and have been for a few months. I'm also on the SCD diet (couple months) although I'm not ridiculously strict and don't do the yogurt thing. about two weeks ago I had a bad attack, for me. Debilitating stomach pain and some vomiting (which is rare for me). Since the attack - which lasted only 1 day, I typically have 1 day wonders followed by a day or two of just being tired - I've been tired sort of all the time. Just lower energy than usual. Even things that I could easily do in the past - like hike a few miles, have become a bit of a struggle.
So, I'm going in this Thursday for a routine primary care visit, but they always draw blood. In addition to the CBC, are there any specific tests I should ask for? I'm thinking that since the attack maybe I'm having some absorption issues or maybe since the diet, I'm having lower iron. This might also be part of the aging process (I'm 50 now). I don't know, but any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks.
