Hello all I posted this in the UC forum too because I’m not sure what I have but I fear it’s UC Or Chrons though I’ve never had blood in my stool also my scope was clean everything looked normal but Got my biopsies results showed mild inflammation... nurse said it could be from the prep as it happens all the time . But I can’t see the G I until next week so until then my mind is going to think I have IBD I don’t have microscopic colitis but it did show mild inflammation she did not know were she tried to ease my mind and say usually the G I almost always knows if you have IBD after the colonoscopy and the biopsies just confirms if it’s UC or Chrons she told me it’s most likely from the prep but idk I’m a huge hypochondriac and I’m still having symptoms like stomach noises , upset stomach that leads to diarrhea 2 or 3 times a week depending on what I eat , excessive gas and occasionally mucous I fear it it’s UC or Chrons

Sorry to read that your anxiety has kicked in full speed. All you can do is wait until you see your dr. The nurse did tell you correctly, the prep can do a number on anyone. From what I have read of your posts in the UC forum, it appears you may in fact not have either disease. The symptoms you describe sounds a lot like irritable bowel syndrome.

Do you happen to know how we can determine if this is inflammation from the prep or IBD ? Do I have to get a colonoscopy again ? What other test will he do ? I recently got blood test in the emergency room 2 days ago an came back normal

No, you don't need another scope. The drs can tell when doing the scope. As the members said in the UC forum, you can take IBD off of the table. With your results i would be very happy & doing a happy dance.

I don't know if you are getting help with your anxiety or not, but that is something you may need to consider. It is not healthy to obsess over health conditions when the drs tell you everything checked out well.

I’m happy with my scope results I was looking forward to putting this scare behind me and look forward to being happy with my family disease free when I got my scope results I finally felt peace for the first time since before my digestive issues but when the nurse told me biopsies found the mild inflammation the fear and anxiety came back harder then ever ... I’m sorry for all the questions and me freaking out I feel overwhelmed I’m terrified 😩what kind of things should I expect when I see the G I doctor on Monday will he order more test ? Like I said I just got blood work done in the ER a couple days ago . Is there a possibility when I go in on Monday he will diagnose me with early Chrons Or UC even though my scope was clean and I don’t have blood on my stool ?

I think the UC forum explained how preps can be pretty harsh whether a person has an IBD or not. GI's know what to look for by visual & the pathologist knows what to do with the biopsy part of things. The odds of the dr giving you an dx of an IBD with a clean scope is pretty slim. If your dr suspected either disease you would have been told that much, with a comment of we will wait for the biopsy to confirm it. This is how it is done here. The drs can tell by the visual because each disease has it's own trademark of what the dr looks for.

It is not healthy to keep rehashing & asking the same questions between these two forums, certainly not productive at all. Your questions should be addressed with the dr.

B, no need to apologize, but you need to get help with this anxiety. Anxiety can be debilitating for some people. The stress that the anxiety is causing you is not good for your body. Try to distract yourself between now & Monday. Get out in the fresh air & go for a walk, listen to some relaxing music, anything to get your mind off of this. Are you seeing a dr for the anxiety?

yes i was given anxiety medicine but did not help at all so im on my own

I would go back to my dr & let them know the medication is not working. There are several medications that can be tried & talk about getting you into some counseling.

yeah think i will do that , before these digestive issues ive never had this much anxiety , im actually a really happy person i love to laugh an make people laugh but these issues changed me so much im never happy im consumed by anxiety an i live everyday fear of IBD , if it wasnt for fear of IBD i wouldn't be so much this way , when my scope came back clear i was so happy i started showing glimpse of my old self again i was almost able to move on from this an never look back then i got a call saying biopsies showed mild inflammation and everything came back and MORE now i have to go back to the doctor an who knows what he will say , anyways im venting im sorry again ill look into getting anxiety meds an counseling
