Hmm, well yes, the arthritis.org does say that Crohn's-related arthritis doesn't cause damage. I did read that before and for the last 9 years I thought that it didn't, but then this year I stumbled on something that said it does, but I don't remember where. And a woman on another Crohn's forum whose daughter has Crohn's-related arthritis said the she did end up having damage to her tendons and joints from the inflammation. Plus both doctors told me that it does cause damage, so I'm not sure why they would be telling me otherwise. I'll see if I can find where I read that it does.
Oh you know what, now that I think of it, I think the woman's daughter may have had AS with Crohn's. I don't know, I feel like a crazy person! I do hope my joints aren't being damaged. I wasn't diagnosed with As but my initial presentation of Crohn's I had SI joint pain, so maybe that's why she says it's damaging. I'm seriously confused now but I want to hope that it isn't damaging.
