Totally. I supplement a lot as I'm an athlete (power lifting). I add BCAAs and aminos to my pre and post workout, along with a vegan protein (I can't process whey protein).
Do they help, I'm going to say for me, yes. Is that science, no.
I have been med free for almost 7 years and in total clinical remission for 3 plus year. I had active disease when I stopped meds, and today, by colonoscopy, have zero active disease.
My disease was formally at my anastomosis site, TI removal in 2001. I also have no symptoms and haven't been syptomatic in nearly 7 years. My reasons for stopping meds were due to another life threatening infection. I realize not everyone can stop meds and have the results that I have.
I've been supplementing for about 3 years.
