Cannabis oil

Most people here probably won’t believe me, but I am cured from crohnsit seems. I’ve had two colonoscopies two sigmoids three blood tests all showed no signs of crohns in my body, it’s been over 3years now, haven’t taken a single pain med nothing but using a very potent cannabis oil. Haven’t even used that in 5 months. My only issues are so many surgeries that I do have 8 1/2 ft of small bowel removed 47 years ago so I can get bloated and gassy but that’s it. Hard to believe but I can tell in my body it’s not there. I can eat anything no restrictions. I have scar tissue that’s a mess. All these tests were in a hospital. I’ve had two obstructions, but that was from scar tissue not directly caused by crohns, two different hospitals all tests came back the same, no crohns detected

Yes xy it is RSO or rick Simpson oil. I first used a alcohol based tincture, but really sick of the taste of the grain alcohol. So I researched rso and itcame back as a cancer cure, so I you tubed how to, I had experience in cooking with cannabis not good but making meds, no interest in edibles, when I heard cure cancer I was on that. When I used it daily like taking a pill I needed 1 1/2 lbs of cannabis to cook down to about a years worth, cancer is 1 lb a month cooked down to around 50 grams. Pricy unless you grow, plus the higher grade the better it works for cd, unfortunately the Cbd stuff just didn’t do it for me as soon as I grew a high grade 25% thc was when I felt this huge difference in my gut. On vaping oil I’ve made plenty of that and didn’t work for me, when I get bloated and need to pass the gas I take 4 tokes and gas either dissipates or I release gas. I had a bad stricture obstruction last August and I was at one of best hospitals in San Diego, Scripps Green, I had 2 surgeons and 3 gi’s They all agreed not really cd but just strictures. They asked about meds funny stuff one was curious the other said nothing 7 days later walked out with no meds to take home, hated that stricture part loved walking out with no meds. Jmao

The first time I tried my first batch, I used to much for a dose, not realizing the potency, pretty much house bound for two days, then I waited couple days took again smaller amount, still to much, waited couple days took aspirin size RSO it's turns very hard when cooking process has cooled, so I warm a container I have in hot water, dig out with a knife small amount, roll it in a ball pop it like a pill. I shy away from butter. I've made lbs of it. Lol

This is a very interesting subject, too. I had a doc bring this up to me when I was in the hospital last. "Alternative therapy" is how he went about it.

I am now on the search for CBD oil, specifically the kind that is supposedly legal in all 50 states, due to the low THC and specific that it is a hemp oil verses cannibis specific (which to my mind, isn't much different?). My IBD doc will not agree to the use of it, but they did not deny either. This is such a taboo subject and really shouldn't be. I think to the general person, I think most see some sort of benefit to this.

My ultimate concern is whether or not this would interfere with my current meds of remicade and methotrexate. And ultimately wish that there would be more legal status in the state I am in, though certain CBD oil is now allowed... but seemingly impossible to get. I just don't understand the entire thing.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any easy way unless in the black market to get my hands on something with that much THC in this state. That part makes me uneasy.... and really don't feel comfortable smoking anything, either (my wife and I were talking about that). I hate that this entire thing is still so taboo... hopefully that changes in the near future.

I Got to meet some amazing woman at the Reno expo today for our CBD , both with auto immune illnesses. I rubbed our pain balm all over there back and gave them CBD orally to try. They came back to our booth later , and they felt amazing🤗 with less pain and anxiety. To me that’s success! I’m so happy to help others! That’s all ever wanted to do! I feel for all our struggles we go through! This illness! ANY ILLNESS really wears us down mentally and physically! I’m proud to be a part of a CBD company that has helped all my issues!!

Hello! I've just started taking cannabis oil made up by a friend and without wanting to sound too excited, my gut feels calmer already! I'm taking in the evening before bed and don't notice too many effects from it. I stopped taking my immunosuppressants because I felt lousy and quality of life is poor, so I'm hoping this combined with Salofalk and a good diet might do the trick! Fingers crossed ... Not to rain on anyone’s CBD oil parade, just a level set. We need to all be cautious for two reasons at a min:

1) there has been zero research on how to grow and the effects on the human body. The issue is what type of fertilizer, what type of herbicide was used and what it does to the human. Think about certain herbicides like roundup that you can use on a lawn, but not on vegetables. Keep in mind there are lawsuits out again the makers of roundup as they claim it is causing cancer to people

2) there has been zero safety studies to look at drug interactions. I take 9 different medications plus stelara injections. I want to know exactly how all of these work with the oil before i would ever put it into my body. The point is no studies have been done and for a oil to be able to claim to can do some of the things that it says, the FDA will require testing. I for one want that testing.

I know the oil helps some, even if it is just a placebo effect. But I waive the caution flag to anything that claims to solve so many medical problems.

I think it's good for you to be advising caution, mirowpl. Because cannabis is a plant (and the oil derived from it is plant-based), it's almost virtually assured there'll be interactions of some kind even if the major ones haven't been figured out yet.

I've read some studies about this myself. They're very limited in number and in scope, but I do remember one such study that was not able to see any signs that inflammation had been reduced in Crohn's (or that cannabis worked to help the gut in other ways). Now, it could be possible this was a low-dose preparation or again limits of the study or flawed methodology or what have you, but that's something worth considering.

Of course, also worth considering is that the patients themselves received a benefit in the form of weight gain and pain management. But yeah, more studies are needed to ascertain possible risks vs reward, whether it's worth it long-term, side effects (again - plant - Think of St. John's wort and all of it's side effects and interactions). And interactions.

I think these avenues should be explored because this disease does suck majorly, but like with any potential treatment, it's not something that should be taken lightly.
