6 months update on Filgotinib

I am participating in Filgotinib stage 2 clinical trials. My hope was to close complicated rectal fistula - draining seton in for 4 +years. Seton removed the day of trial start. After 3 month's, I developed an abscess in the external opening (it closed up)and had to have draining under anesthesia and seton went back in. My Gi symptoms have improved - less urgency and dria, and almost no arthritis pain. Talked with my clinical nurse in private - out of 11 people in the trial currently - 2 had full fistula closure. Everyone has improved GI symptoms.

Exit- thank you. This is another option in my location as well. Very poor results for fistula closure. How disappointing especially for you. So sorry you are going through this. I’m curious as to why you had to have the setons removed prior to starting? It seems awfully early to do that & obviously put you at risk for complications.
