I think Prodiem must have been discontinued. The only place I can find it for sale as a laxative is in Canadian pharmacies, where it's in tablet form and contains sennosides - so basically a stimulant laxative, which is the last thing on earth most folks with Crohn's want to take.
The former Prodiem seems to have been psyllium which you can find in loads of forms already, including metamucil. I'm glad this thread was bumped up, as it's reminded me to give it a try and it was an interesting read. I take cholestyramine but it does literally nothing for my diarrhoea or urgency: I take it to reduce the hideous burning only. I am fairly close to going back to a stoma permanently, tbh.
