Hi Fellow Crohnies,
I posted this to the Ostomy forum, but I'm thinking anyone with a successful reversal probably doesn't go back to the forum very often. I've scoured it and haven't found much to help, so I'm posting here, too.
Also, I couldn't help it and I took my temp again :/ It's 100.7. I'm going to put a call in to the surgical nurse, but it'll be awhile before I hear back. Thank you for your help!
Hi Everyone,
I usually frequent the Crohn's forum, but have been lurking here since my emergency temporary ileostomy. I had my reversal surgery eleven days ago. The cramps have been intense and my body so sore. But I guess that comes with the territory.
I'm usually cold in my house -- especially after surgery. Last night I noticed I wasn't cold, so I took my temp. I usually run a little low and this registered 99.5. Twelve hours later I took it again and it was the same. I'm trying to keep myself from taking it every five minutes, but it's hard. I'm so nervous there's something wrong. My mind immediately goes to "it's an abscess or leak." However, everything *seems* to be going as it's supposed to.
Do any of you have experience with fever after reversal?
