First of all i wanna say HI to everyone. I havent posted on here in awhile.

I started on humera awhile back. After a couple of months i started having some improvements with my abdominal pain and joint pain. Then i accidently went 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks between injections. Well thats happened twice now. And my pain level is now an 8. Its not in my abdomen tho. Its in my bum. It feels like spasms and having a hot poker inserted. Since i cant see back there i had to take pics with my ph. I noticed a boil was forming so i wonder if its an abscess. All i lnow is iit hurts so bad to stand or walk or sit. I have less pain when laying down. I messaged my gi dr earlier today only to find out he no longer works there. So the search for a new gi begins again and another wait time of 4 to 6 months for an appt. What should i do?

Can you get to a hospital? It might be an abscess, or even a fistula. It may need draining.
Hopefully it is nothing too sinister.

I could go to hospital. However i always seem to go a day to soon. In otherwords i have an issue so i head off to the hosp and they send me home. Then 2 days later i go back to the hosp and they say why didnt you come in sooner. Ive had pain before and theyve found nothing. I get tired of that happening. But this pain is totally affecting my daily life. I cant be on my feet more then 15 mins then i have to lay down

Crohns patients are tough as nails. We don't complain unless it's serious!
It sounds like you really need some help. Must be very painful.
Better to go in I think.

Well i called the gi clinic. There is a dr who took my drs place. I was able to get a virtual appt on oct 23rd and a clinic appt on dec 18th. Now how is the dr going to examine me virtually? Im definitely NOT going to show my bum on camera !!!!! I felt better when i first got up. But now that im up and moving around the pain is creeping back up on me.

I found it so strange that your GI has moved on, and you weren't notified, or referred to a new GI. Glad that there is someone taking his place, and you now have some access though. I know the idea of virtual medicine might seem uncomfortable, but in the age of Covid, we really have to adapt to some new ways of doing things. Doctors are professionals, and if it takes showing your butt on screen to get an assessment and treatment, then the slight embarassment, (excuse the pun), will certainly be worth it. I'm sure once assessed, they'll book you in for treatment.

A few months ago, I took a picture of my face and sent it to my primary care doctor, and asked him if it is cancer.

You can take a couple of pictures of where you feel the pain, and then use a software to edit the pictures. Then you can send the edited pictures to your doctor. The edited pictures only show what the doctor needs to see to make a preliminary diagnosis.

Well i had my virtual appt with my gi dr. The issue i was having with my bum i was able to get a good pic to show the dr. But of course my phone went crazy and the screen just flashes green. So i had to describe it. We talked about the issues ive been having since i started humira. And theres a pattern. A few days before my next dose of humira i seem to have flareups. The dr did say that my next flareup she wants me to go to the er to be examined immediately and take pics. On nov 6th i will be having a full blood panal done as well as humira level. The dr thinks my dose is not adequate. Im so glad to have a gi that really listens to me.

Once again its a few days before my next dose of humira and my extreme bum pain has returned. Actually this time i have had a yellowish liquid expel....twice now. Not much but enough to notice. Ive never had that happen before. My gi dr told me to go to the er next time this pain occurs so she can physically examine me.

Bucko, if you feel the pain is bad enough to warrant a trip to ER by all means go. Your dr may have to move you to weekly injections, this is not uncommon. I hope you can get some relief.
