Humira and vaccines?

Hearing conflicting information re vaccines and being able to have one if on humira. Here in the UK the Oxford vaccine has been announced today. Are there any vaccines that we can have?

Definitely no expert here, but as I understand it, as long as you're not using live vaccines you should be fine. Start doing some research on that though.

20 years ago, I took multi dose Hepatitis B or C vaccine. Then my Chron's Disease really worsened a lot. I am not sure if there was a causal relationship back then.

But 2 years ago, I took flu vaccine and I was OK.

Oxford is a two injection vaccine, the 2nd shot is given one month after the first. It is not a live vaccine. It's best to discuss this with your dr, everything will depend on how it will be distributed over there, meaning who gets it first. I know quite a few people on bio's that plan to get the vaccine when it's available. The logic is it's better to have some protection than end up in a hospital that is full of Covid patients.

I have taken the flu shot for years & never have an issue except my arm gets a little sore for a couple of days. All of my specialist say get the flu shot.

Anything that isn't live is okay. flu shot is okay. New Covid vaccine is okay, just to mention a few. THAT SAID, I've been getting live vaccines on mercaptopurine + Humira, and I've been fine. I work in healthcare, and my prerogative is that id rather fight the live vaccine than get exposed and have no coverage. (Personal opinion Not medical advice)
