hey gumby! Well...I have had a limited diet ever since my resection so I find it funny that they think you can eat anything. Yes some folks I know that have had pouches have been able to go to the eat anything mentality...but I don't know anyone who had a resection go that route. And some folks with UC I know go that route (very few).
I hate to say this to you, but I think you need to start the slow add back process. I am guessing you can eat more than you used to eat...just not everything. After all....we still have CD despite the worst part being cut out.
I do not eat seeds--they are on my never ever again list which is a short list. I have tossed cookies on them twice so it is not worth it. I do cheat on rare occassion and eat a strawberry---but I find I feel crummy each time so not worth it. Although I generalize and say I do not eat fruits or veggies, I do occasionally eat a tiny amount if they are cooked beyond recognition....but only on a good day. Carrots though are on the never ever again list no matter how cooked as they were present before two ER visits.
Every few years I try a little of something as the diet changes...but I am not totally low residue. Good days I experiement...bad days are white bread and plain chicken.
So currently...I don't have an official answer if it is narrowing due to scarring, inflammation or stricture. I had a CT scan on Tuesday, but no results yet. Personally...I am thinking SIBO with gut issues secondary as the antibiotics are really making me feel a lot better despite down to 10mg pred. (Although the gas quantity could fuel a small nation!)
