In 2020, I got two documented infections of coronavirus as I got other undocumented ones. 2021 went on well with some suspicions of infections that turned out to be negative. I’m starting 2022 with a new infection of Omicron. Last Thursday, I started to have a severe headache, severe muscle ache and mild sore throat. I contacted my GI, who put me on an antibiotic and solpadine for the terrible headache. Today, is the 5th day and the headache still persists. I can’t concentrate well as I used to be. This headache is really horrible.

I've lived in Markham since 1982 so I believe I'm immune to all this and never needed any vaccines in the first place. Both my brothers had Sars1 and fibromyalgia. I just had the Asian flu. Maybe take zinc tablets. I hope you get better.

OMG!!! That's awful! I am sorry you are going thru this yet again.

I have a friend that was diagnosed with Omicron. She was admitted in the hospital and she is still struggling. She takes Remicade for Crohn's. It's her first encounter with Covid.

But...... have heard from people in my support group that Remicade... anti-tnf treatments--make it so that we have a better chance of "clearing," the virus.... Thus being able to catch it repeatedly. I don't know that for a fact and I haven't found anything on-line to support that statement. I did find a study that indicated that people having Covid, treated with Remicade, had a better outcome.

So I dunno.

@Nicky I will give zinc tablets a try.
@Clo When I asked doctors about the fact that Remicade, could as a biologic, treat COVID, some of them denied it. Out of experience, it does. In December 2020, 3 colleagues of mine and I got infected. CT chest then showed glass opacities and the doctor insisted I take pred but I didn’t and things went on well. One of my colleagues died because of This infection. Yes, I do believe Remicade reduces coronavirus side effects esp that we are immunocompromised.

It is horrible to hear that one of your colleagues died out of Covid-19. One of my colleagues got infected several months ago. But he is young, otherwise healthy and got two doses of vaccine. So he recovered in a few days.

Another colleague got infected after 1/1/2022, and she came down with bad headaches, chills/fever, sweaty, freezing and body aches. She only received two shots of the vaccine. She is feeling better now.

The above two colleagues never got the booster shot, i.e. the 3rd dose. I got my booster shot the same day when I became eligible. I have had some mild/moderate cough for the past two weeks. I went through two Covid antigen tests at home, and both came back negative. I do not have fever, chill or any other symptoms related to Covid. So I am not going to do a PCR test.

Flared for around 5 months.
Diagnosed late last year CD.
10th week Humira. Non-jabbed.
CV-19 Positive PCR Jan 4th. No symptoms, test offered at work. Calling this day 1.

CV-19 Positive RAT Jan 9th.

Some minor night sweats, diarrhea, mild headache first couple days. Headache turned to mild eye pain days 3-5. All symptoms seem to have cleared by Jan 10th.
Roughly 8 of 25 employees returned positive results the first week of 2022. All have returned to work the following Monday. All have reported minimal symptoms ,for what that's worth.

Not a doctor. Had been supplementing Zinc D, C, A, as well as a daily multi, for this occasion.

Here is hoping we are through the woods!
