Been a long time since I have been on here. I myself gave up on Humira it went wrong for me and I ended up with all kinds of issues. Been on many Biologicals and they all ended badly. But I am curious, what is everyone doing to treat their Disease? What works and what doesn't for you? I am long timer and have tried everything and nothing has helped.

Sorry that I don't remember you posting here. I'm sure there are some veterans that remember you though.

The many biologics that you've been on, are still pretty much the state of the art treatments. Stelara is one of the more recent meds that seems to be getting extremely good reviews. My Daughter has just spent 10 years on Remicade and is now transitioning to Humira.

Curious to know, what are you considering as a treatment plan going forward? I believe there's an anti-MAP trial.

I still take Humira. I tried entyvio but did not respond to it.

What has helped me the most is taking two antibiotics every day.

Flagyl 500mg once a day, and Cefdinir 300mg once a day. It is not easy persuading my doctor to keep me on these but they help me more than anything else. Without them I get bacteria overgrowth and then inflammation. With them I can keep all of that under control.

I take Uceris when I flare or just occasionally when I feel I need it. It is much better for me than taking entocort. Uceris is expensive and hard to get, but a much better med than entocort.

Mirtazapine in low doses works well for me. It relaxes my intestines. I don't stay on it for very long because it makes me want to eat everything. Usually I take it when flaring. I take half of a 7.5mg tablet.

I've just been taking herbal stuff since my resection back on May 2013. Was in perfect health until I got poisoned and nearly died back in April 1997 which led to Crohn's disease. Got diagnosed back in December 2005. Boswellia has cured my problem with my kidneys from taking pentasa ages ago back from 2005 to 2008. Instead of having to pee 10 times a day I'm down to 2. I only needed to take it for 4 months and it cured my problem brought on by taking pentasa. I've been off boswellia for almost 6 months and no relapse. Just been taking wormwood capsules, bee propolis capsules, garlic capsules and sometimes taking reishi mushroom capsules. I'm probably going back to the gastroenterologist when I'm 65 in a year and a half as everything will be covered except the dispensing fee for drugs. I live in Ontario Canada.

Stelara and imuran- nothing else worked. I add turmeric, oral and suppositories, when I feel like my fistulas may be an issue. I steady and healthy.

hello Nicky it sounds like you have a great herbal line-up for Crohns. I have taken every biologic offered for Crohns and Humira was the only one I had great success with but unfortunately became immune! I've had numerous surgeries, the last resection just five months ago and I take Remicade infusion every 6 wk & methotrexate once wkly. I have had a terrible past six months & can hardly even leave the house now! 😩It has made me very depressed & Ive lost 45 lbs ( which I needed to lose but not this way) Anyhow my insurance has now stopped covering the Remicade and it was my "last hope" biologic. I have applied for assistance from a Johnson & Johnson med donation program which I qualify for ( it's just a slow process) Thk goodness they will help me even though I have Medicaid. They were one of a very few. I'm in the U.S. by the way. Anyhow I was wondering if you could post the brand of herbal capsules you are using and the dosage you take when you have time & feel up to it. ID BE SUPER GRATEFUL!!! 🥰😁🙏🏻❤️

Do you take the uceris pill or the foam? How long would you say it takes to kick in?
