Took yesterday my COVID vaccine booster dose. Given that the first two doses were AstraZeneca, I was advised to take the Pfizer shot as a booster dose. With AstraZeneca I experienced all possibilities side effects that were mentioned by the company such as fever, shivering, fatigue and muscle ache, and swelling at the site of injection. The side effects would last for almost 8 days each time.
The side effects of Pfizer booster dose are different: today was the second day. I experienced watery diarrhea and had to take Imodium to stop it, have abdominal cramps and severe nausea. Saw my GP and was given a Zofran 8 mg injection to control the nausea. I read that Pfizer booster dose could trigger a flare up. I’m very much worried it might do so as I’m feeling unwell.

I have no experience with either one of those shots. I had the Moderna shots, the 2nd one I had chills, low grade fever & body aches for about 12 hours & was fine afterwards. I took Tylenol & that helped. You seem to be having harsh reactions, I've not seen anyone else post on here with this severe of a reaction. You have mentioned having prior issues, perhaps this has aggravated things.

Hopefully this will be short lived.

4 pfizer doses with zero effect here.

Sick as a dog after the Moderna booster, (3rd). Nothing with the first 2 shots, and the 3rd booster was only a 1/2 dose. Chills and pretty high fever for 48 hours almost exactly. Totally fine afterwards.

All my doses have been Pfizer and recall having a mini flare trigger by the first especially. There are quite a few people who have reported flares or flares like symptoms being triggered - in other groups and even different forums here - even if the majority experienced nothing. Moderna causes worse. Mine settled by itself. Hope it wears off soon x

I took three Moderna shots (2 regular + 1 booster) last year. Every time I took the vaccine, the next day I would experience mild fever and sore arm at injection. No other side effects. The fever only lasted a day, but the sore arm lasted a week, which is a minor inconvenience for me.

20 years ago, I took Hepatitis B vaccine. I only had one shot, but I stopped, because my Chron's got worse and I blamed the Hepatitis B vaccine. From then on, I even stayed away from flu shot until just a couple of years ago.
