If you've ever considered CBD/Hemp oil, I'm here to encourage you to give it a go.
It's been in the back of my mind for a few years now, but as someone who has a somewhat negative opinion of cannabis (and who had a bad experience the one time I ever ate a gummy - I can laugh about
it now 😂) I never entertained it as a serious Crohn's therapy option. It wasn't until my health insurance started wanting me to foot $10k of every Stelara refill that I hit a wall and said heck it, let's try CBD! But I never expected to see the results I'm seeing!
The first 2-3 days, I noticed increased blood, mucus, and gurgling, but I must have been herxing because these nasties soon cleared. At the 1-week mark, I began having SOFT-FORMED poop and 1-2 bathroom trips a day!! My abdomen also became less swollen/extended, I assume as a result of the quietening inflammation. I've been experiencing these benefits daily since then, and I'm now at week 2. I also have a perianal fistula that I've been topically applying the oil to - and yes, the fistula began draining the next day and has been draining with little pain ever since. I've only been doing this topical CBD regimen for 3 days, so I can't say if it's helping heal my fistula yet, however, it certainly seems to be helping heal the infection. Again, all of this is from taking hemp oil and no other prescribed medications. I do take other supplements, but have been taking these for years, so the hemp oil is the only possible reason for these sudden positive changes — and I'm still in disbelief about
it y'all!
If anyone is interested, I've been taking 10 drops of North American Spice's Hempanol at bedtime. According to the bottle, that's equal to
230 mg of their proprietary blend 5 mg of hemp/CBD, which is mixed in olive oil and oregano oil. Their Hempanol is also full-spectrum, raw, organic, and CO2-extracted.
I'll keep everyone updated as I keep taking the CBD/hemp.
I'd also love to hear your CBD experiences, especially if you're a long-term CBDer!
