Doctor Dropped My Case...Advice Needed

It's a shame that you're going to have an interruption in your care, but I think this might be a blessing. It would be much worse to keep seeing a Doctor that doesn't know how to treat you, and just keeps playing guessing games and musical meds.

Hopefully, your next referral will be with someone much more capable and will get you on the right track. Sooner than later of course. Please keep us posted. Hope you're feeling better soon.

This does happen from time to time so try not to be alarmed. The Mayo Clinic has some great drs so you should be in good hands there.

This happened to me. Don't be scared...be Thankful. Thank God I had a doctor that knew his limitations and wanted to ensure I received the care I needed.

One doctor didn't do enough. I ended up septic. Then went to New GI new hospital. I really liked the new GI but he told me I was over his knowledge base... And he graduated top of his class. He gave me suggestions on 2 doctors and told me not to go to regular GIs as they'd be guessing. I listened to him. So glad I did.

My feelings were sorta hurt. I didn't know it could happen either. It was sorta scarey but.... It gave me the opportunity to find a doctor that could better treat me. Prepare for your visit. Write down a timeline, questions, treatment attempted and what you want to see happen.. Take your notes in with you and write down the GIs replies.

Mayo has some of the best doctors. I'm sure you will be fine. Please let us know how it goes.

My labs didn't change for over 3 years. They looked good. I kept going to doctors and they couldn't find anything wrong. It was a struggle. Don't give up searching for those answers.
