I am suppose to be traveling to Alaska for 3 months this summer. But the big issue is getting my meds. I'm getting remicade infusions every 4 weeks. Has anyone ever traveled and was able to get their meds from somewhere else?. If so how did you work it out?

We used to travel with my ton and they would ship it to either a local hospital or to our hotel and we could pick it up. I would start now with your Dr to get organized and find infusion centers where you are going to be and contact them to see what type of order is needed from your provider, your insurance, and the facility.

Oh that sounds so fun! I would actually start by finding the nearest infusion centers that would do Remicade, then ask if they would accept orders from your doctor. They probably won't, so you honestly will probably need to transfer care to a GI there for that few months. I would set up an appointment with the GI there NOW, since the wait list can be very long.
