My bowels are acting like a 2 year child....

Ok, so I am not having a good day at all! I need to vent! I don't know WHAT my bowels are going to do from one minute to the next. I am 8 month pregnant, so I am usually pretty constipated, because of it.....Well, I was talking on the telephone to my mom thinking gosh I need to get off and go potty. WELL, she just wouldn't let me go......soooo (don't get gross out!!!) all of a sudden without any further notice I mess my pants. It was really bad! It went all over the floor without giving anytime to get to the bathroom (I won't go into any further detail) I started to cry so hard! My 2 year is in the other room watching me, yells "Mommy, you just poop on the floor". (Thank God for Baby Gates). I have never been so humilated.

This happen this early this afternoon and I am still crying over it, so I thought you guess could cheer me up. I feel like this disease is so unfair! I am to embarress to tell my husband. Any words to cheer me up would be great.

Hoping you feel better soon! It happens to everyone at some point in life. Those pregnancy hormones are probably making you more emotional too. You may want to mention it to your hubby though because I wouldn't trust a 2 year old with a secret like that. I hope he/she doesnt remind you in the grocery store some day!! My little brother was known for the baby bloopers.

Oh honey, I can so identify with you... I had a bad flare during my last 3 months of pregnancy ( for my 2nd daughter)...lost 20 pounds ......thought she would weigh peanuts but she came out at 8lbs. '
I remember the"poops" getting to me when I was in the grocery store......having to hurry to the bathroom,having to put daughter #1 in the corner( she was about 11 months old then) ....lie down on the floor for 20 minutes or so until my legs felt strong enough to carry me again. I remember buying extra extra large panty hose ...if I needed to go out and had an "accident" . the panty hose would kinda "hold everything in" if you know what I mean. Had to throw away a few perfectly good pairs of shoes though!LOL.

You poor thing....I do know first hand what it feels like......it is terribly embarrassing to you now....but believe me ...someday it will make a really funny story. I've learned over these last 30 years of having CD and having many , many "funny stories" to tell.....that it helps to laugh about it ......after you've let yourself have a good cry.....pull up your pantyhose and get on with enjoying your life. I think a lot of people with CD would make great comedians.....they'd have people "peeing and pooping " in the aisle!!HA HA!


Mary ...love and prayers. Good luck with this beautiful baby....won't you have a great story to tell him or her when they are old enough....if your 2 yr old doesn't beat you to it! Save it for a day when he'/she is feeling really embarrassed about something and then tell them..."Boy, do I have a story that has you beat!"

Thanks so much for your post! I am feeling a lot better, now! I called and spoke with my mother last night and she told me her recent pooping accident (she doesn't have crohn's) and it made me laugh. Just needing to be a little cheered up.

I still have 8 weeks to go, before I have little Samanatha my hormone are on fire....lol. My 2 year old is toliet training and she walks around saying "diarrhea" all the time.
