I have posted over in the IBS board, and today I wandered onto here to ask questions. I've been nauseated sometimes minorly, but mostly severely for the past half year almost, every day. Sometimes I do have bowel pain, but it's more like cramps. I don't have any issues with my bowel movements though, no increase or decrease in frequency, no blood, nothing abnormal, except maybe sometimes loose stool.
My fiance told me to go ahead and post here about it. His ex-girlfriend had Crohn's, and her symptoms reminded me of my own. She had to get surgeries and such to fix this problem. At the moment, I'm just wondering if I should put down the money for a colonoscopy. I'm also wondering if my fiance just didn't know the whole story about her. Can people have Crohn's without the serious bowel problems? I never thought they could, but he was adamant about her symptoms. I may be making myself questioning obvious things. I was also told though by a GI to get a colonoscopy to rule out Crohn's, but they never said they thought it was Crohn's, even when I asked.
Frankly I'm getting a bit tired of all this diagnostic stuff. My nausea could be from IBS [but it would cancel out, nausea isn't a recognizable symptom to most doctors], my nausea could be from my Fibromylagia [which is being poorly treated], or it could be Crohn's. I'm sorry if my questions are ill-informed, I would just like to know where to head from here.
