Hi PaulieV,
I use LDN. Got my diagnos this summer. Used prednisone, but when I tapered, almost all my symptoms returned. Started LDN. Wake up the next day, and had a painfree day. This has continued now for almost 4 weeks. I know it's early to tell anything, this could be placebo or that I was supposed to go in a remission then, but it COULD be that LDN works this well for me. Then it is a little miracle
The medicin must be taken between 9 and 2 p.m. and regularly each night. One often start with 3 mg. Increases the dose after a couple of weeks to 4.5 mg. Don't take more than that, it won't work then! If you are using prednisone, entocort, remicade, pentasa or humira, you can't use LDN. It's contraindicated. LDN won't work then. If u use pain killers (narcotics), you can't use LDN.
Please use yahoos group to get support and information. They can guide you to doctors and pharmacists, if you have trouble with your GI. But please, it's best to ask your GI at first. Copy papers from the gazorpa link below, and read it to learn more about
LDN. Then you also are prep for GI visit.

And I suggest that you also read this link; it contains tips "how to tell your doctor about
LDN, and how to ask him writing you a rx)....(this is actually neccessary, cause they don't know much about
this medication)

To learn even more, you may go to yahoo.com and register. Make yourself an email address at yahoo, and get all the mails from all LDN users around. You will feel very welcome in a group of Crohns, MS, Psoriasis, fibromyalgia, and other groups that use LDN. When registered, search in the box at yahoo for "lowdosenaltrexone".
Good Luck!
