Had surgery need some input please...........

Ok first off my dad is home and is doing pretty good,he is starting to look like his own self again.It has been very stressful because I am very close to my dad.

 

Now here comes my question I had by gallbladder surgery yesterday and let's just say I am having a hard time the pain it unberable.It was done lapocsopey I have four 1inc insictions and one two inch insiction and I am a having a hard time.If any off you have had this done how long did it take for the pain to ease up?

Same here, daughter had it done, about 4-5 days. Several months before she could eat any fiber, which may/may not be longer for you with the CD. Wow! You two guys are really the walking wounded aren't you! Hope you both continue on the mend fast!

I haven't had gall bladder surgery, but I've had six or so abdominal surgeries. In my experience, the laparoscopies hurt more than open procedures. I think it's partly the gas they introduce into the abdominal cavity, but for whatever reason, it is a very painful recovery.

I think the 1st 4-5 days are really the worst of it. I had a burning type pain inside that lasted for awhile. But, then I also had the pain from the gas they blow you up with and I think it was the worse of the two. I never had any kind of oozing from any of the puncture marks. Hang in there it will get better each day. Remember to get up and walk, a to help rid of the gas and to keep from getting peumonia. Hugs, Susie
