Hi
Is that the same thing as mesalamine rectal suspension enemas? If so I am taking those nightly too, and have been for nearly 2 weeks. Cause of my RX was a feeling of fullness in rectal area, and confirmed inflammation via biopsy. I have no blood or mucus now but have in the past.
Anyway, I bet everyone has a different experience with suspension enemas. I have read posts of people who cannot hold them in for long. But me? I seem to never see them again, other than a white streak in my next BM. Most of the time I am able to be upright after administering the enema without fear of losing it. Much different from a conventional enema for me. I don't know what your experience is so far but given that you are TTC, could you simply put off administering the enema until afterward?
As far as success I think other people here (and at the Ulcerative Colitis website for sure) could attest to its efficacy better than I as I've only been on it a short while. However I do think it is helping. And from what I've read, it is notoriously effective for rectal and lower colon inflammation.
Good luck to you in all regards!
