Hi cronnies

              this may sound a stupid question but does anyone have bruising on there body every morning when i waken up i find more and more bruising why god only knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Check your meds some CD meds can cause bruising so check the side effects and see what they say. No I don't have bruising are they painful? I'd let my Dr. know too. lol gail

i did when i was on a higher dose of prednisone. they looked terrible but they did not hurt.

Are you on Imuran?  If so contact your doctor immediately.  It could be serious.  I have had some unexplained bruising, and the blood work came back OK, but I'm still keeping an eye on it.

You need a CBC immediately to rule out thrombocytopenia -- a suppression in platelets. You mentioned unexplained bruising. What about your gums? Do they look redder than usual? Are they bleeding when you floss? What about nose bleeds? Do you have any evidence of a red rash on your arms, legs, chest etc. These are also signs of lowered platelet counts.

If you are bruising and can't explain the bruise, you need to be checked.

I have tons of brusing but im a clutz and being on predisone doesnt help.

Prednisone did it to me. Lots of random brusing and some of them were pretty nasty. Got better as I lowered my dosage. You should check with your doctor though as its not something to mess around with.

I woke up with strange marks and bruises while on pred and they would disappear quickly.

Hmmm. Maybe that's why I have so many bruises lately! I thought I was just running into things and not noticing.

I'm back on Pred =(

Hi I personaly do not but my dad does you can just barley touch dad and he bruises very easley.My dad has all ways been like this and strang enough he is having problems he has what they call small bowel syndrom.I don't know if the two are conected or not but it could be.
