anyone had the plug or glue for fistula

I just saw my gi today, and he's referring me to see a new surgeon.  He's suggesting that i try the plug or fiberin glue surgery for my fistula.  Has anyone had either of these?  I see the surgeon on wednesday and i want to be prepared for the options.  Does either of these hurt afterwards and for how long is recovery.  Also what is the success you've had with them working and no fistula coming back thanks.

ps my history is below and i've been battling this fistula thing forever and it stinks

i was checked out for a few years ago to see if i was a candidate for it but my fistula was not complete and thus they said they couldnt do it for me. all i remember was that it was one of the most painful procedures ever. since it was quite a few years ago, my memory is kinda hazy on it but if it is working correctly then it is a procedure that is still fairly new and they have varied success with it.

no pain for mine. never felt it. as a matter of fact , I shoved the tube for the glue into my fistula myself as i was familiar with where it curved and such. the dr said , go ahead,
