Crohn's story on Sunday NFL countdown on ESPN

Anybody else catch the story on David Garrard, QG for the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday on Sunday NFL countdown?

I thought it was an excellent piece.  It described his symptoms, failed drug treatment, surgery that removed his ileum and subsequent treatment.  Although they didn't name the drug specifically, it sounds like he's on Remicade b/c they said he gets a 3-hour intravenous treatment every 8 weeks.  The whole piece was maybe 5-7 minutes.

He's having a pretty good year in the NFL and so they talked about the obstacles he's overcome to get there.

Plus, it puts Crohn's in the national spotlight!!

I understand he's a pretty good guy off the field and donates a lot of time to Camp Oasis and other CCFA charities.

I didn't see the piece. I had forgotten that he had CD, but I watched the game. I wished I had remembered, I would have paid a bit more attention to him specifically. I love football and watch all day every Sunday no matter who is playing. I save all my cooking and baking for Sunday so I'm not just being a slacker I'm in MA and have always been a huge Pats fan, I just watched the game cause the Pats weren't playing until tonight!

I'm a Ravens fan so hopefully the Pats bus will get lost on the way to the game tonight.

Sorry Poopington the Pats bus will not get lost, it might just roll right on over the Ravens, but it won't get lost!

The Ravens sure made it an EXCITING game! I almost felt sad that last pass of the game. So near, yet so far. But I couldn't feel too sad, after all my Pats managed to win again!!!

Ummmm...too many Pats fans here Go Bills...6and6 even with the worst injury list you could imagine and yet another "quaterback controversy"
