Good news I got my lung test back !!!

Hi Everyone well I went to my Dr. today and I do not have emphysema which I was told I had 13 years ago.My test came back normal but the DR. thinks I have asthma.I think I am still in shock because it was hard thinking I had that all these years and the worry I had about it especially because I had a young child at the time . So now I can focus more on CD he did give me a antibotic for my lungs as I have a noise in there. So will see if this gets rid of it so I can decide what to do about my CD. So I'd whoop it up but I'am getting to old for whooping ha ha . Also my blood sugar came back good. Dr. said  I was lucky today. Getting a major storm moving in tonight so will be laying low. Hope you all are doing good. lol gail tongue

Excellent news! So many folks are mis-diagnosed and under-diagnosed. Hopefully they can get you on a med regime for your asthma if you have an attack.

Be careful with the antibiotics especially if they are broad spectrum that was how I had my second case of c. difficile

BTW congratulations on the good news about your lungs.

You deserve some good news! I agree to watch it with the antibiotics... but you probably know all that. How much snow to you have???

That is good news. Stay warm, just reading our evening paper, we are on a total fire ban as of tomorrow, its come into effect 2 months early, its going to be a long dry summer.

Hi Thanks everyone BM solid this am so no bad effects from antibotic yet .We made out with about 5 inches of snow here so not bad at all some places got blasted pretty good. Still snowing a little . Good news is great that's for sure am getting schduled for bone density test so now on calcium and Vit. D because of long term use of pred. so hope that turn's out good too. Warm so far sitting here by fire ,I love being able to look at the flames it is very cozy and power stayed on this time so got my running water which makes life so much nicer. lol gail

Congratulations Gail, what good news. While I'm glad I don't live in that kind of weather anymore, I do miss the feeling of a snow storm and snuggling down to watch it with a good fire. By the way, you're never too old for whooping, lol.

Yaaa Gail!!!! My Mom had emphysema so I know the worries you must have had. This is great news.
I was worried about asthma or emphysema myself becuase I was having respiratory issues---mine have gone away with increased iron and B12 so I am more relaxed.

take care and avoid that snow! We got hit with some here in Western NY, but nothing I'm not used to. Just had to avoid the rookie snow drivers (yes, it's bad but driving at 12 miles an hour will cause an accident!!)

Hi Yes it is quite awesome not having emphysema adter thinking it for so long told my teen if my mine goes I still think I have it to be sure thatshe tells me I don't . It's almost to good to believe. But I'am doing the happy dance.

Megamax Waiting to see if this doseage of antibotics clears my lungs up. My next post I would like to ask if poeple who had a rash while taking Remicade and Imuran had one when they srarted Humira or went on to Humira. How are you doing with your new meds haven't heard from you on it?

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or whatever to YOU! What great news! You've really had an uphill battle with the lungs so I hope everything starts to settle down now! One question....what rash and where? You know already I'm on the Imuran, post remicade and now doing humira. I'm still kinda reserving my opion on the humira...but I think it's working better than anything so far. As to the skin...I have post CD dx psorasis on my hips, surgery site, shoulders & back. I think it was doing better on the remicade, however, since it's cold now the winter battle is on again. Would chat more tonight but getting verrrrry sleepy!

Hi Boomhilda I been wondering how you been. Merry Christmas to you !!! The rash was on my uppper chest and didn't stay long about an hour or 2 and only for a couple of days, I am not sure what caused it yet as I was doing the clear up the lungs thing with meds and over counter stuff. I should have started keeping my records sooner.So what have you been doing ? I figure you got yourself sewed to your new sewing machine by now .Good the Hum. is doing the trick for you I am still in pred. land for now .We"re getting loads of snow here so quite white out there it is snowing now and soon be getting ready for the dentist chair my filling stayed in about a month .The tooth is going to be a hard one to pull the dentist said so he is going to try to fill it one more time oh lucky me. Got my house washed down now so got to do some tiding now .Finally feel I got somewhere this fall so doing some back patting. Sick yesterday but ready to go at life again today .Have you stared the baby set yet? Hoping things are going good for you and your enjoying the Xmas season. lol gail

Just don't know about the rash thing...sorry! Wish I was snowed in with you so I could do some sewing. Got a manager at work with a ego problem who thinks she'll be staying with us into next year.....WRONG! That situation is taking up WAY to much of my time and energy these days! I've decided to just do her in, sit in jail, let the state pay for my CD meds and finally get the rest I need and write the book I've always dreamed about writing! Just jokin' of course! Seriously, this woman is so freaked out even my monkeys cringe at the sight of her. Rob my Christmas spirit...NO WAY! Wouldn't give her the satisfaction! Glad you're feeling better today and hope the dentist went well. Word has it in the family grapevine that son & daughter-in-law are looking at a house. Husband and myself are not suppose to know this. Son says after the house, they will begin the family....Ohhhhh, I can not wait! I've already ruined the granddog! Which by the way...he's not getting the dog back when they get a house....holding him ransom for the vet bills! He's my bud now and he's even cutier than my son!

Hi Booomhilda I'am thinking your really into waiting on them Grandchildren to come along. It is nice to have them little ones to cuddle .Dentist went alright and I'am chewing away again and of course I never stop talking. Hope your manager cuts you some slack. More snow this morning 5 or 6 inches but the teen's Dad helped shovel oh happy day, you know you wouldn't get much sewing done because we'd never shut up long enough for that. The teen got my little cutie dog a Santa coat for Xmas so going to get some pics of him once I give him the Xmas bath. Fits and that's about it on him .Got the shopping over yes. Now get some goodies and a tree and decorate the house next weekend going to chop the tree down, hang the mistletoe and kiss the poodle I guess. lol gail
