Looking for doc in Baltimore area

I was wondering if anyone can recommend an OB-GYN in the baltimore area that is good to deal with.  I have had Crohns for 12 years, have a 2 year old daughter and am trying to get pregnant again.  The problem is that my disease is less under control now than it was 3 years ago.  I really don't want to take any meds but have been off remicade for 4 months, not pregnant yet, and am having too many symptoms that need meds.  I am finding that my doc isn't very helpful in trying to figure out what may be best for me.  My GI is great but I need an OB who's a little more helpful.  If anyone has a recommendation I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know about the Baltimore area,but my OB has offices in Gaithersburg,Rockville,Damascus,and Frederick,let me know if this works for you. :-)

That may be doable, is he/she familiar with Crohn's and the medications associated with it? I seem to have gotten my symptoms under control with my diet right now, but I need options and would love a doc that understands more of what I'm going through.

Hello,

I suggest you search "Find Physician" on www.ccfa.org. These Docs may be able to help or refer you to someone in your area who can. If that doesn't work, I suggest GW. http://www.gwdocs.com While Georgetown may too far for you, my GW Docs are good with CD. One of GW's OBGYNs could talk to a GW CD Doc -- they are all in the same system. I hope you find a good one!!

Thank you for your advice. I currently have my GI talking to some OB/GYN's in the hospitals he works at to see if anyone has dealt with patients with Crohns, hopefully this will get me what I need.

M e again, I don't think the other post went through,if it did,sorry I posted twice. Anyhoo,my OB worked very closely with my OB,and it worked great for me and my baby!!

The practice works closely with high risk OB's if need be,the high risk OB's are in a big Fertility practice in the Shady Grove area. Good Luck!! :-)
