I started to experience recently sharp needle pains around my chest and heart - they go away after few seconds. My haemoglobin and RBC count low, platelets count high.

Does anybody experience this ?

Sometimes Anxiety can cause this BUT I would really suggest talking to your doc if you are not under any anxiety or have panic attacks
Most with a chronic illness do have anxiety.....NOT all .....

Does it feel like your heart is racing?......do you get heart Palipatations??

Please let us know how you make out

It would help if you had the values from those labs as just low and high doesn't really help me much in answering any questions.

I agree with Lyn, if this is new you should have your heart checked out.  It could be anxiety but it is best to have a physician examine you.

Well I am not too sure about the needle pricking feeling that you are experiencing, but definitely talk to your doc about it. In terms of your lab work...this is pretty standard for crohn's. Your RBC and Hemaglobin are low probably because you are bleeding, and your platelets are high because of inflammation in your body. When I was diagnosed my hemaglobin was 7.2 and my Platelets were 975,000. It was Nuts!

With ECG and 2D Echo, the cardiologist thinks it is Mitral Valve Prolapse Trivial MR... as if I am not suffering enough with CD. Of course, more medicines now.
