Anyone have pain in ribs?

I get pain almost every day, up under my ribs, on both the right and the left side.  Does anyone else here get it as well?

I get pain on my right side, at the bottom of my ribcage. Most of the time it feels like pressure/pinching.

I know I have narrowing at the terminal ileum but I'm not officially diagnosed as anything yet.

Yes I do often and it can be quiet painful at times.

I get pain in my upper right rib cage all the time. I believe mine is caused by adhesions. When you say you have it on both sides I am wondering if you are suffering with really bad gas pains. I would talk to your doc about this. Good luck!

i also have had rib pain about the last 4 weeks .Had appointment with rhemy she did xray to check for phemonia .DX was costochondritis.

I get rib pain on both sides very often, but worse on the left. I was told costochondritis as well.

Ya the same here I was getting the pain long before I knew I had crohns, my doc told me costochondritis to I guess it goes along with crohns because crohns can effect the connective tissue. I know they hurt really bad.

They feel like a side stitch from exercising too hard. They double me over and I can't move. Sometimes they last for hours with no relief.

Thank you for the heads up on this post....I can't tell you how many xrays I've had with no dx!!!!!!!!!!
Seems like every time it happens to me it's following some sort of exercise and I thought I was just sore. However, the last 4 days both sides of rib cage has been almost imbearable and I haven't exercised at all or done anything to warrant this. Will definetly show this to my GP on the 17th!

I have the same pain on my right side. right now I have a cough and it is making the pain worse cause when I cough my stomach muscles tense up   I might ask my GI about it next visit too. Karen

After years of being told I had arthritis and being prescribed NSAID's, which I can't take with Crohn's,
I finally found a new, younger Rhuemy, and asked for a name for what I was experiencing, since I really don't get joint pain and swelling, more like muscle pain - every muscle at one time or another. He ran the blood tests, and the prognosis is "inflamatory arthritis associated with Crohn's disease." Not osteo, not rhumatoid, and he assured me I would not become cripple from it. Knowing makes the pain much more bearable, and a motrin once & while helps, too.
