Is there anyone that can give me some advice please. My daughter has suffered with crohns desease for 11 years. She has had several operations and now has a colostomy bag. She was doing really well after that op and wished she had had it years ago. Only a couple of months after the op she became ill, they now say that she has an inflamed gall bladder.Antibiotics were used in hospital but her veins collapsed and she had had enough of them keep trying the IV in different veins every 10 mins, so she refused anymore. She was on the IV antibiotics for 3 days and it made her feel really sick as well. Once she came off of them she stopped feeling sick. Ended up discharging herself from the hospital as they wanted her to go back on IV.
Since she came home she has felt a lot better but is so weak as she hasnt eaten all week.
My question is, What sort of things can she eat. There are so many things she cant eat because of the crohns and her bag. Like fruit veg salad anything with shells, nuts, and now fatty food because of her gall bladder. She really does need to put on some weight as she is now under 6 stone and only 5 foot tall.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
