Scar oozing with sneezing

Ok dont be alarmed by the title of this...when I say oozing it doesnt mean an incredible dangerous amount or anything. I am now a month out from surgery, and my scar has healed great except for one little spot. I just assumed it was a little raised keloided part, and didnt really worry or care. However I still have a little bit of pain in that particular area when I sneeze, and I have now noticed a tiny hole tearing in the skin each time I do sneeze or cough hard, and it is oozing a smidge of clear pus/blood. Nothing much, but is this normal or do I now have a potential opening for infection? Any advice would be glorious!

sure, anytime there is an opening in the skin you are open to infection. hopefully just a small part that has not healed up inside the incision, sometimes the outside heals faster than the inside and a small pocket will form. i think though that your surgeon should take a look at it to determine if it may be the start of a small fistula or not..

Hi i had an op in November to remove a fistula and obstruction.I had one wound left open ,but the other was closed with staples.After 2 weeks 2 1/2 inches of the wound opened.This was due to an infection.I am still having the nurses in every other day to dress the wounds and still have a small amount of extradate leaking out.They have told me this is good as you don't want any infection building up inside,it's better out than in. I would get it checked out ,as you may only need a course of antibiotics.
