crohn's in the anastamosis

I have crohn's in my connection, I always have left sided pain.

Anyone else have this problem, and how can I get relief?

How did you find out your have Crohn's there, thru a scope?  I would refer you to your physician if you have a flare up going on and see what your GI thinks you should do for the pain.

Ther are only a few of us here with J-pouches. Is that what you have? I have had mine for 10 years with one redo due to a stuck capsule camera in 2004.
And yes, when I have an ocassional Crohn's pane in the LRQ, I 'm just like eveyone else, even though my entire colin has been removed.
I know, it doesn't make sense.

I have 3 feet of my large colon removed in 1987, due to crohn's. The rest is connected to my small intestine on the left side. I have had the crohn's come back in the connection

which is on the left. Ever since my surgery , my body has never been the same, It has been

worse for the last 7 years.

It is very frustrating

Carmen, in nearly all cases following resection surgery, if the disease decides to come back, it will be present at the anastomosis
site (where they reconnect the intestine). I've had this show on all colonoscopies. This usually does indicate that you maybe having
mild activity.
You should see your GI so you know what is the best course of action. Plus to check that the disease was only present in that area
only....
