On Humira...should i be taking any tests?

Hey everyone

I recently started using humira and am beginning my maintenance doses. are there any tests i should be taking in order to look for certain side effects or prevent them?

Hi,I have monthly CBC's ,and chemistry levels,and I have drug levels every 3-6 months. How are you feeling from your surgery?

I have never been given any specific tests after starting Humira. I am to the point where I barely see my G.I. doctor. I saw him once last year. I am doing so well. We communicate over email if I have any concerns. Isn't that crazy? I used to go monthly for years and years.

I see my GI every 3-4 months now - we do bloodwork once a quarter or so to make sure things are okay but that's it.

When on Remicade, I had labs much more often.

I, too, used to see my GI way too often (every week or two) and am thankful I don't have to see him that often anymore (or shall I say, right now!).
