I'm feeling better

I have to say THANKS for all the support during this flare. Today is the first day in months I have been able to function. I was in the bathroom a lot of the night, but I finally didn't feel overwhelmed by life. THis family is so supportive and I know my husband is so happy I found you. I am still on prednisone and I am accepting that I am a little rounder. I am buying myself some new clothes tomorrow and I am okay with that. I don't like being so bloated, but I am learning what foods have fiber and what I can eat (that would be nothing ;)) I will keep you updated on everything. I found a new doctor and hopefully she will treat my migraines, depression, and anxiety and then I will be a whole new woman, wife, mom, and teacher. YEAH!!!! When I called my new doctor and I told them I was looking for someone kind and I heard they were. She actually new my gastro before I said her name and that is great Karma.

I'm just trying to imagine and remember.....my kids are about 2 years apart and I was a full-time teacher when they were young. I didn't have to deal with Crohn's, though. You have *a lot* on your plate!

I know this may sound trite but have you tried meditation and/or prayer for the anxiety (and headaches, for that matter)? Its benefits and importance are discussed in the Maker's Diet (I saw your post asking about it). I also saw Dr. Oz on Oprah last week. He was again stressing the importance of it. Dr. Oz has said on previous shows that he is a believer in meditation/prayer because he believes we have only barely scratched the surface in understanding the mind's ability to heal. He's also a proponent of "energy work", which would fall in this category. Just a thought...
